myLittleAdmin Removed from Shared Hosting

At Web Wiz, we are committed to providing a secure hosting environment for all our customers. As part of this commitment, we have removed myLittleAdmin from our shared Windows hosting platform.

myLittleAdmin Removed from Shared Hosting

What is Changing?
Effective immediately, myLittleAdmin has been completely removed from all shared Windows hosting plans.

Why was it removed?
Although myLittleAdmin has not been updated for over 15 years, we have recently seen increased scanning and exploitation attempts against it. It contains a serious known vulnerability that allows remote code execution. On a shared hosting platform, this poses an unacceptable risk to all customers.

Recommended Replacement: SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
We recommend using Microsoft’s official free tool – SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).

How to Connect to Your Database
  1. Download and install SSMS from the link above.
  2. Open SSMS.
  3. In the Connect to Server window enter the following:             
    • Server name: Your database server name (shown in your control panel) 
    • Authentication: SQL Server Authentication      
    • Login: Your database username      
    • Password: Your database password
  4. Click Options >> (bottom right)
  5. Go to the Connection Properties tab
  6. Tick the box for Trust server certificate      
  7. Click Connect
