Start of work - At-risk period: Start Date: 11th December 2025 End of work - At-risk period: Risk End Date: 12th December 2025 Times work will be carried out: Start Time: 05:00 UTC End Time: 9:00 UTC Service Impact: After updates are applied, servers will need to be rebooted twice, causing a short service interruption lasting between 1 and 5 minutes for each server. Reason: Microsoft releases Windows updates and patches on the second Tuesday of each month. These updates fix security vulnerabilities, performance and other issues. After testing the latest updates, we roll out Windows updates to all Web Wiz Managed Windows Servers. |

Shared Hosting Database Maintenance - December 202528 November 2025, in Shared Web Hosting
We will be performing maintenance on shared hosting database servers during December 2025. This will affect both all SQL Server and some MySQL databases running on shared hosting. Start of work - At-risk period: Start Date: 1st of December Start Time: 05:00 GMT End of work - At-risk period: Risk End Date: 15th of December Risk End Time: 18:00 GMT Service Impact: Databases may be unavailable for a 15-minute period during the migration to new database servers, but will otherwise continue to function as previously. Microsoft has discontinued the Web Edition of SQL Server. In preparation for the change in SQL Server edition, we are migrating databases to new servers and merging low-traffic database servers. |

Shared Hosting SQL Server Price Changes - March 202626 November 2025, in Shared Web HostingWe offer Microsoft SQL Server through the Service Provider License Agreement (SPLA). This licensing model is required by Microsoft for service providers that host software for external customers. SPLA operates on a monthly subscription model and charges based on the processor core count for SQL Server. Microsoft has announced that SQL Server Web Edition will be retired under SPLA for all future versions of SQL Server. All workloads must now migrate to SQL Server Standard Edition, which has a significantly higher per-core cost. Impact on Pricing for Shared Web Hosting
In the coming months, we will conduct maintenance on SQL Server databases to accommodate these changes and will notify customers of when this maintenance will take place. Hostnames and logins will be retained to prevent customers from needing to make adjustments to the database connection strings within their websites. Shared Hosting Removal of PHP 8.1 - January 202623 October 2025, in Shared Web HostingStarting the January 2026 we will be removing PHP 8.1 from shared hosting web servers and making PHP 8.2 the default PHP version.
Reason Security support and updates for PHP 8.1 will end on the 31st December 2025. How to change the version of PHP my website uses You can now easily select the version of PHP (8.2 to 8.3) your website uses in the control panel.
